Mrs. Wanda J. (Wojcicki) Wieczenski, 86, a lifelong Little Falls resident, most recently of Mohawk Valley Healthcare Center, Ilion, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening, March 2, 2010, in that facility. At the time of her passing, she had the love and support of her family by her side.
She was born on February 6, 1924, in Little Falls, daughter of the late Peter and Victoria (Czech) Wojcicki, and was educated in Fort Plain schools. She has been a lifelong area resident. On May 25, 1945, she was united in marriage with Walter S. Wieczenski at Holy Spirit Polish National Catholic Church, Little Falls, enjoying a union of love and devotion which lasted 63 years until Mr. Wieczenski’s passing on March 11, 2009.
Mrs. Wieczenski, for many years, took loving and thoughtful care of her family and her home. She will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she thought the world of.
Survivors include her loving family: her children, Walter Wieczenski Jr., and wife, Carol, of Little Falls, and Debra Spytko and husband, Ronald, of Little Falls; a brother, Ted Wojcicki and wife, Stella, of Little Falls; four cherished grandchildren, Craig Wieczenski and wife, Wendy, Kevin Wieczenski, Amanda Saunders and husband, Nick, and Amy Bonfardeci and husband, Joseph; five adored great-grandchildren, Rachel, Evan, Lauren, Matthew and Brady; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
The wake will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010, from 5-8 p.m. at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls. Relatives and friends are also invited to Mrs. Wieczenski's funeral commencing at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, from the chapel of the funeral home, where a prayer service will take place, and at 11 a.m. from Holy Spirit Polish National Catholic Church, with Father Rafal Dadello, Pastor, officiating. She will be laid to rest in the spring in Holy Spirit Polish National Catholic Cemetery, town of Herkimer.
