Nancy Fleming, 79, passed away on July 24, 2009, in Anchorage with her daughter by her side.
Nancy was born September 20, 1929, in Herkimer, NY. Nancy married Floyd Fleming on October 17, 1953. Nancy was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, doing needlework, going to craft bazaars, shopping and traveling throughout Alaska in a motorhome. Nancy moved to Fairbanks in July 1982 to help take care of her first grandson, Nathaniel Fleming Shepard. She stayed and helped with her second grandchild, Mathew Wilton Shepard. She had one great-granddaughter, Christina Lynn Shepard, who brought her much joy. She also loved her dogs and cats.
Nancy was preceded in death by her mother and father, her two brothers, her husband and two sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Doris Shepard and her husband, George, and Katherine Harwick and her husband, Clarence.
The services for Nancy will be July 24, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Herkimer, NY.
