Lori J. Moynihan, age 50, went to be with the Lord, after extended illness, early Sunday morning, November 25, 2012, in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown.
She was born on March 10, 1962, in Ilion, daughter of John and Rose Shoemaker McCaw. She was raised in Mohawk and graduated from Mohawk High School with the class of "1980". Lori spent her final years with Chad McClusky. For many years, she was employed at Wal-Mart in Herkimer.
In her leisure time, Lori loved to garden and to do crafts with her daughter, Scarlett. She will always be remembered as an extremely hardworking, loving, caring person who loved to do little things for people to bring them joy. She will be greatly missed.
Lori is survived by her two daughters and two sons, Cassandra Maxwell, of Utica, Scarlett Moynihan, of Newport, Alex Kuznia, of Richfield Springs, and John Kuznia, of Brockport; one granddaughter, Emily Broat, of Utica; her parents, John and Rose McCaw, of Mohawk; a brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Cindy McCaw, of Ilion; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Mohawk Valley Nursing Home for the care and attention to Lori in her final months.
Calling hours will be held in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer, on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow immediately after with Thomas Pileggi, Associate Pastor of the New Life Church, officiating. Interment will take place next spring in Middleville Cemetery.
