Mrs. Elsie V. (Lamanna) Clark, of Woodside Ave., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, June 28, 2009, peacefully in her home on her 85th birthday, surrounded by her loving family.
Elsie was born on June 28, 1924 in Little Falls, daughter of the late Peter and Katherine (Morotti) Lamanna and educated in Little Falls schools. On May 26, 1946, she was united in marriage with Carl A. “Pat” Clark in St. Joseph’s Rectory, Little Falls. Mr. Clark passed away on Aug. 1, 2005, after a blessed marriage of 59 years. Mrs. Clark was employed by Salada Foods and with the Little Falls Central School District. She was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls.
Elsie's inspiration in life evolved from her love of family, friends, nature and music. Her life journey set an example for all who shared her paths. She will be forever embraced in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her loving family: two daughters and sons-in-law, Maria L. (Clark) Stegich and husband Alan of Northville, Mich., and Michele Marocco and husband Roger of Little Falls; two sisters, Frances A. Fitzgerald and husband Charles of Little Falls and Philomena Cerone and fiancé Ralph Renzulli of Little Falls; her grandchildren are Errin T. Stegich, Michael R. Marocco and Andrew C. Marocco. She is also survived by a sister-in-law: Angela Lamanna of Albany and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and her beloved cat Fifi.
She was preceded in death by her loving brother, Michael Lamanna.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home (Little Falls) on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. Elsie’s funeral will commence at noon on Wednesday, July 1, from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered and at 12:30 p.m. from Holy Family Parish, Little Falls where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor. Funeral procession will follow to St. Mary’s Cemetery, town of Herkimer, where she will be laid to rest.
