TOWN OF HERKIMER — Adam J. Crossett, 24, of Schrader Hill Road, died unexpectedly on April 30, 2008, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Adam was born in Little Falls on Aug. 15, 1983, a son of Gordon R. Crossett of Middleville and Jean (McEvoy) Grower of Poland. Adam received his education at West Canada Valley Central School. He worked on the family farm from an early age and for the past few years, had operated his own dairy farm on Schrader Hill Road. In addition to farming, Adam was thrilled to be a “Dad” and enjoyed the time he spent with his daughter, Eleanore.
Survivors include his father, Gordon Crossett and his wife, Patti Ann, of Middleville; his mother, Jean (McEvoy) Grower and her husband, Gary, of Poland; his daughter, Eleanore Catherine Crossett and her sister, Edith, both of Fairfield; two sisters, Kristin McCormack and her husband, Edward of Pulaski and Tara Rath and her husband, Steve, of Fairfield; one brother, McCulley Crossett of Middleville; maternal grandfather, James McEvoy and his wife, Linda, of Cold Brook; maternal grandmother, Jane McEvoy of Newport; nieces and nephews, Danielle, Genevieve, McKenna and Aidan McCormack and Nathaniel and Cameron Rath; two step-brothers, Matthew Hartman of Rochester and MacKenzie Hartman of Middleville; three step-sisters, Melissa Hartman of Middleville and Jennifer Grower and Karin Crossett, both of Norway; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Duane and Eleanore Crossett.
Adam’s funeral will be held at St. John’s Church, Newport, on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with a celebration of the Liturgy of the Word offered by the Rev. Leo F. Potvin, Pastor. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Newport.
Calling hours at the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport, are Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
