HERKIMER — William J. “Bill” Fogerty, 62, of 349 Eureka Ave., Herkimer passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Little Falls Hospital.
He was born on Feb. 6, 1946, in Little Falls the son of the late Leonard and Irene (Bova) Fogerty. He was educated at St. Mary’s Academy, Little Falls.
A loving husband of 43 years, he was united in marriage to the former Gloria J. Lowell on June 12, 1965, at the United Methodist Church Parsonage, Herkimer.
He was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls. He was also a former member of the Polish Community Home, Herkimer.
Mr. Fogerty was employed as a delivery contractor for the Observer–Dispatch, Utica, for over 40 years.
He survived by his wife, Gloria; a brother, Robert Fogerty, Ilion; a sister, Patricia Mallett, Fort Plain and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Joanne I. Fogerty, on Sept. 19, 1988, and by two brothers Richard Fogerty, and John (Larry) Fogerty and by two sisters, Caroline Mento and Marilyn Horn.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills, with the Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia, rector of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls, officiating.
Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann St., Little Falls. There are no calling hours.
