Marietta Liitt Walters, 41, of Herkimer, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, in Little Falls Hospital, Little Falls.
She was born on July 23, 1971, in Utica, the daughter of the late Richard and Karen Bolten Liitt, and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. Marietta had been a lifelong resident of the Mohawk Valley.
Marietta is survived by her loving children, Elizabeth Walters, Thomas Walters and Harley Walters, all of Herkimer; her grandson, Velton Walters, of Herkimer; her brothers, Shawn Liitt, of Utica, and Darren Riley and Christopher Conklin, of Canastota; her sisters, Roberta Liitt, of Frankfort, Rebecca March, of Ilion, and Michele Schulze, of Herkimer; her stepmother, Kathleen Liitt, of Herkimer; her nieces, Melodie Schulze, Kathleen Kokoszki and Meghan March; her nephews, David Schulze and Dillon March; her special friend, Austin Spink; and her canine companion, Lilly.
Marietta’s celebration of life will be held 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, in the chapel of the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
