Kyle T. Hysack, 19, of East Springfield, N.Y., went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, June 8, 2009, after a brief illness at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown.
Kyle was born on Feb. 23, 1990, in Cooperstown. Kyle was a 2008 graduate of Cherry Valley-Springfield High School. While in school, Kyle played soccer, baseball and track. He played the trumpet. He was honored with the Eagle Scout award in August of 2007. He recently finished his freshman year at Utica College.
Kyle enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, snowmobiling and spending time with his father and family in Herkimer. He loved animals. He loved being with his friends and family. Kyle was a loving, kind, compassionate, optimistic, caring soul. Kyle is unforgettable to all who knew him. Kyle loved the fact that so many people loved him and that he was JUST IT!!!! He had a wonderful sense of humor, which he got from his father, Brian. A smile that was always on his face. A love for the outdoors. An unbelievable zest and love for life. Kyle was a son, brother, cousin, grandchild, nephew and friend to be proud of.
To say Kyle will be sorely missed does not even come close to the heartache and pain we will feel with him not here with us for the rest of our days. In the words of Kyle, “See ya later old man, I love ya!” and “Come here Brenda Marie and give me a kiss I gotta go. Love ya and see ya later” and “Come here Boy and Sarah kiss and hugs love ya.”
Survivors include his beloved family, his father and stepmom, Brian and Brenda Hysack of Herkimer, N.Y.; mother and stepdad, Susan and Bruce Hargrove of East Springfield, N.Y.; two brothers, Craig Hysack of East Springfield, Brian Hysack Jr. of Herkimer; a sister, Sarah Hysack of Herkimer; grandparents, Alma Hysack of Herkimer, John and Gail Walrath of East Springfield, Mary and Neil Young of Herkimer and Phyllis DeLosh of Ilion; aunts and uncles, Andrea (Lee) Lasher of Herkimer, Brenda (Ricky) Parr of Louisiana, Lori (Jeff) LeCuyer of North Rose and Sondra Hysack of Herkimer, Anne Patterson of Florida, Randalin Patterson of Lansing, N.Y., Daniel (Michelle) Patterson of Richfield Springs, Paul Young of Mohawk, Laurie Young of Herkimer and Jeffrey Young of Herkimer; cousins, Amber, Seth, Macaulay Hysack, Rebecca Lasher, Christopher Miller, Brennan Parr and Randall Patterson; special friends, Nikki, Jimmy, Don, Kyle and Curt; his canine companion, Harley; many more extended family and friends, too many to mention. He was loved by all.
Kyle was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jerry Patterson and Ray Hysack Sr., an uncle, Ray Hysack Jr.; and his great-grandfather Randolph Weldon.
When we think of Kyle, smile and share a happy memory. Kyle would want smiles and not tears. We had 19 years of happiness and love. Better to have 19 wonderful years with Kyle than none at all.
A Celebration of Life Get Together will be on Friday, June 12, 2009, from noon through the night at Kyle’s father and stepmom’s home, Brian and Brenda Hysack at 5487 State Route 5, Herkimer, NY 13350 for all who loved and cherished Kyle.
In Kyle’s memory, you may make donations to the Herkimer County Humane Society.
