Mrs. Phyllis M. Fiorentino, 85, of 317 Third Ave., passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012, in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born in Frankfort on August 8, 1927, daughter of the late Frank and Theresa Chard Palumbo and she attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Michael Fiorentino on December 7, 1946, in Yuma, AZ.

Phyllis was at one time employed by Union Fork and Hoe Co., and later worked as an assembler for MDS, Herkimer, until her retirement. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church.

Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Michael Fiorentino; one daughter, Deborah Fiorentino, of Frankfort; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Teresa Fiorentino and Dennis and Doreen Fiorentino, all of Frankfort; four grandchildren, Danielle Fiorentino, Lisa and her husband, Craig Newell, Dominic Fiorentino and Daniel Fiorentino; two great-grandchildren, Chase Michael and Carina Maria; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Terry Palumbo, of Frankfort and James and Mary Fran Palumbo, of Schuyler; her in-laws, Lena Sudakow, of Herkimer, Gilda Lavista, Adeline and George Lagess and Kelly and Kay Fiorentino, all of Florida. She was predeceased by her son, Dominick Fiorentino, on July 18, 1968; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Alex and Connie Palumbo, Joseph and Vita Palumbo, and George Palumbo; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose and Joseph "Zep" Bellino and Frances, and Michael Tomaino.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, S. Frankfort St., Frankfort where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo Potvin and assisted by Deacon James Bower. There will be no public calling hours. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort.
