Mamie G. Spatol, age 85, of 158 S. Fourth Ave., Ilion, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at St. Luke’s Home, New Hartford, where she had been a recent resident.
She was born on Oct. 18, 1923, in Ilion, the daughter of the late Carl and Frances (Castilla) Spatol and attended Ilion schools. Mamie was an assembler of circuit boards at Sperry Rand Univac for 25 years. She later worked at Duofold Co. in Mohawk. Mamie was a member of the Church of Annunciation.
Survivors include her sister, Tena Milazzo of District Heights, MD; her brother, James Spatol of Vestal, N.Y.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four sisters, Margaret Payne, Mary Quayle, Jennie Quillen, and Rose Spatol; four brothers, Thomas, Anthony, Frank and Joseph Spatol.
Funeral services will be held 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion, and 10 a.m. at the Church of the Annunciation where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Anthony Barratt, pastor. Internment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort. Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
