Mrs. Florence V. Viscome, 95, formerly of Protection Ave., Herkimer entered into eternal rest on Thursday evening, December 11, 2008 in Valley Health Services, Herkimer.  At the time of her passing she had the love and support of her family at her side.
She was born on December 3, 1913 in Webster City, Iowa, daughter of the late Paul and LeeFay (Cantonwine) Neitzke and graduated from Dolgeville High  School.  On November 5, 1932 in Johnstown, Florence joined in marriage with Joseph R. Viscome who passed away on October 19, 2003; theirs was a loving and devoted union of 70 years.  She was last employed as a seamstress for the former Derby Sports Wear, Herkimer.  Florence was of the Lutheran Faith.  She will be missed and forever remembered as a kind and caring wife, mother and grandmother.  In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, playing scrabble and taking trips with her husband.  She was a member of the Herkimer VFW Auxiliary.
Surviving are her daughter, Sondra M. Viscome of Herkimer; six grandchildren: Richard Kuehnle and friend Susie, David Kuehnle and wife Lynda, William  Kuehnle and wife Ann Marie, Karen Carrig and husband William, Kristine Kuehnle, and Karl Kuehnle and wife Christine; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a sister in law: Minnie Viscomi and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased  by a sister, Mae Brown and her husband Ward.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 from 3-5 p.m.  Mrs. Viscome's funeral will commence at the conclusion of calling hours (5 p.m.) at the funeral home on Tuesday with Father Anthony Ligato, pastor of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, Herkimer officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the spring in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer.
In lieu of flowers, kindly consider memorial offerings to a charity of one's choice.  A large selection of envelopes is available at the funeral parlor.  Members of the VFW Auxiliary will conduct their service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
