Mrs. Paulette Donohue, 69, of State Route 167, and a resident of Mohawk since 1984 and of Hopewell Junction, passed away on Feb. 13, 2013, at her residence.
She was born on Oct. 9, 1943, in New York City, daughter of the late John and Bertha Kershaw. On Aug. 19, 1964 she was united in marriage with Henry Donohue. Together they shared 48 years of marriage.
Paulette was a real estate broker for Country Boy Reality in Cobleskill. She was also a Cub Scout leader, 4-H leader, a Republican committee member in Stark and also sat on the horse advisory committee for both Dutchess County and Herkimer County. Since she was a young girl she had an extreme love for horses. She taught all three children to ride on her most loved Quarter Horse Binion who predeceased her.
Paulette is survived by her husband, Henry; her daughter, Beth Schinella and her husband, Kevin; her two sons, Henry Donohue and his girlfriend, Maryellen Smith, and Danny Donohue and his wife, Tiffany Black; her granddaughters, Sara Gumaer, Brittany Donohue and Caitlyn Donohue; her grandsons, Donnie Prusakowski, Bryan Donohue, Chase Schinella and Joseph Schinella; and her four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, John and Jeremiah Kershaw.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, from 12 to 2 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. on both Monday, Feb. 18, and Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013. A prayer service will be held Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. with The Very Reverend Mark Cunningham, oastor, St. Francis de Sales Church, Bellinger Avenue, Herkimer, officiating.
