One-room schoolhouse lifted onto foundation

The one-room schoolhouse that was transported from Shoemaker Hill Road to German Flatts Town Park last year is now on its new foundation. Tioga Construction brought a crane to the town park on Dec. 14, made the necessary preparations on Dec. 17 and lifted the schoolhouse onto the foundation on Dec. 18. The schoolhouse, which was originally at the intersection of Shoemaker Hill and Heath Road in the town, was donated by the Reardon family.
