NEWARK, N.Y. — Michael Springer and two Newark relievers combined on a shutout Saturday and the Pilots defeated the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs 13-0.The loss came one year to the day after the DiamondDawgs had last allowed 10 runs or more in a game. Watertown’s Rams beat Mohawk Valley 12-7 at the Duffy Fairgrounds July 5, 2013. The last team to score 13 runs or more against the DiamondDawgs was the Utica Brewers who won 15-9 in Little Falls June 20, 2013.
