On Saturday, February 6, 2010 the Herkimer Magicians will participate in the Section III Class C wrestling meet. Herkimer’s Bobby Maida, a junior, will be seeded number two. Maida is 17-8 this year and has won 74 matches in his varsity career. Much of Maida’s success came in the second half of the season because he was healthy. Coming into the season, Maida had a fractured femur, which he got from playing soccer in the fall, and then at the Mt. Duels (at the end of December) received a concussion. Maida, now the healthiest he has been all season, will look to do well this weekend.
