MOHAWK 3, REMSEN 2

Mohawk let a two games-to-none lead slip away Wednesday before pulling out a 3-2 victory against the Remsen Rams.

The Mohicans dropped games 3 and 4 but won the fifth and claimed a 25-15, 25-22, 12-25, 21-25, 25-17 victory.

Noel Newkirk had four blocks, four kills, four aces, seven assists and seven digs for Mohawk (4-6); Marisa Holden served three aces; Megan Connor had four aces, four kills, a block and two digs; and Cassidy Babcock served four aces with two kills.

Melanie Carlson had 10 kills, an ace and 12 digs for Remsen (4-4); Melissa Hallenback served seven aces with three kills and nine digs; Hailey Paddock had nine kills, four aces and a dig; and Ida Pelttari had 16 assists, three aces and a kill.

Mohawk plays Dolgeville Friday.

MT. MARKHAM 3, SHERBURNE-EARLVILLE 1

SHERBURNE, N.Y. — Trailing on the road after losing Game 1 at Sherburne-Earlville Wednesday, the Mt. Markham Mustangs came back to beat the Marauders 3-1.

The Mustangs defeated Sherburne-Earlville by scores of 17-25, 25-19, 25-16 and 26-24.

Emily Timian had 11 kills, three blocks and two aces for Mt. Markham (7-3); Brianna Wichowsky had 15 assists, one ace, two kills and 10 digs; Bridget Wilcox had eight kills, three aces and 16 digs; Olivia Thomson had three aces and six digs; Taylor Wool had four aces and five digs; Carryn Williams had three kills; Megan Wool had three digs; Kaleigh Bryce had one ace, two kills, one assist and one dig; and Courtney Thompson had one block and one dig.

Mt. Markham next plays Friday at Cooperstown.

HERKIMER 3, OWEN D. YOUNG 0

VAN HORNESVILLE — The Herkimer Magicians traveled to Owen D. Young Wednesday and defeated the Wildcats 3-0.

The Magicians won by scores of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-17.

Caitlin Roorda had seven kills, one ace and eight digs for Herkimer (3-6); Jami Peters had six assists and five digs; Angela Ward had five assists and four digs; and Emily Guzewich had six kills and three digs.

Owen D. Young takes on Oppenheim-Ephratah at home Friday. Herkimer’s next match is Monday at home against Waterville.

CANASTOTA 3, DOLGEVILLE 1

DOLGEVILLE, N.Y. — Canastota’s Raiders were 3-1 winners over Dolgeville Wednesday in a meeting of Center State Conference division leaders.

The Division I-leading Raiders split the first two games with the Division II-leading Blue Devils then won the next two and closed out a 25-23, 21-25, 25-12, 25-18 victory on the road.

Maureen Krak served 22-for-22 with 40 assists, a kill and 11 digs for Canastota (9-1); Melissa Krak serve 14-for-16 with an ace and had 14 kills and 11 digs; Grace Campbell had 14 kills, five blocks and an ace; Emily Barrett had 10 kills, four blocks and a dig; and Amber Swanson had seven kills and five digs.

Katie Millard had 13 digs, seven assists , an ace and four kills for Dolgeville; Camila Rios had 13 digs, two aces and a kill; Cheyanne Sullivan had three aces, three kills and eight digs; Kaylee Brandow had two kills, two aces and four digs; Brandy Pelon had two aces, a kill and four digs; Courtney Normoyle had four aces, six assists and two kills; Emilie Bode had two aces, a kill, an assist and four digs; and Emily Krasko had an ace, a kill and two digs.

Dolgeville is home Friday for a match against Mohawk.

HOLLAND PATENT 3, LITTLE FALLS 0

HOLLAND PATENT, N.Y. — Holland Patent’s Golden Knights swept to victory Wednesday against the Little Falls Mounties.

The Golden Knights were 27-25, 25-16, 25-18 winners at home in the Center State Conference crossover.

Kaleigh Warn served a career-high 11 aces for Little Falls (2-8) and moved over 100 kills on the season with six, raising her total to 103. Liz Bruins had five kills and a block; Laura Krowicki had four kills, two aces and three digs; Tess Krowicki had three kills, an ace and four digs; Erin Noyes had eight assists; Diana Torres had three assists and one ace; Paige Horender had four digs; and Warn had one assist and two digs

Elena Edwards had 10 kills for Holland Patent (6-4); Jessica Pinto had eight kills, three blocks, two aces and a digs; Adrienne Lyon had 16 assists, four aces and two digs; and Katlynn Savage had eight assists, four aces, a kill and two digs.

Holland Patent was a 25-12, 25-14 junior varsity winner. Courtney Liddon had two kills for Little Falls; Brooke Walrath served two aces; Lauren Shepardson had two assists; Tara Van Alstine had two digs and one kill; Brittany Levellie served one ace; and Winter Polnak, Kali Yerina and Faith Randall each had one assist.

Little Falls is entered in Sherburne-Earlville’s tournament Saturday.
