The Mt. Markham Mustangs took three straight games from Herkimer Magicians for their fifth straight win to start the season Tuesday.
The Mustangs won 25-4, 25-6, 25-7.
Travis Beach had 12 assists, six aces, eight kills and eight digs for Mt. Markham (5-0); Ben Gurtowski had six aces, five kills and one assist; Josh Urtz had six digs and a pair of kills; and Matt Bleaking had four kills, three aces and five assists.
Colin Acker had six assists, two kills and seven digs for Herkimer (0-2); Brett Baker had three kills, an ace and four digs; Zack Rosenberger had four kills, a block, an assist and five digs; and Michael Stalteri had five assists and five digs.

SAUQUOIT, N.Y. — The Sauquoit Valley Indians were 3-0 winners Tuesday over Little Falls.
The Indians swept three games at home, winning by scores of 25-20, 25-21 and 27-25.
Mike Stuhlman had 15 kills, one block and eight digs for Sauquoit Valley (2-1); Emerson Roberts had 22 assists; Justin Jarecki had 13 kills, three aces and seven digs; Jordan Montgomery had 12 kills, four blocks and four digs; Jeff DeShane had five blocks and three kills; and Steve Philpotts had 18 assists and one dig.
Mat Armlin had 12 kills and four blocks for Little Falls (2-2); Kyle Barnes had seven assists; Vinny Visconti had eight assists, one ace, one kill and one block; Mitchell Smith had three kills and one block; Dave Stephenson had one ace and one kill; and Mike Izzo had one block.
Little Falls was a 2-0 junior varsity winner.

ILION, N.Y. — The Westmoreland Bulldogs defeated Ilion Tuesday, beating the Golden Bombers in three games by scores of 25-13, 25-11 and 25-22 for their first win of the season.
Corey Fowler had four kills, one block, five assists and three digs for Ilion (0-2); Joey Kinch had five kills, three blocks and one dig; Chris Welch had five assists, one kill and one ace; and Tom Carnwright had four kills, four blocks and one dig.
Jake Landry had 10 kills, two blocks and seven assists for Westmoreland (1-3); James Marchesani had 12 assists, two kills and two digs; Andrew Murphy had 10 digs, two assists, one kill and one ace; and Tyler Crandall had five blocks and three aces.
