Mohawk scored more runs than it had in the last five games combined as it beat West Canada Valley 9-2 in a Center State Conference baseball crossover game Tuesday afternoon.
The Mohicans (6-5) broke a 2-2 tie by scoring five times in the fourth inning and went on to the win.
John LeClair led an eight-hit attack for the Mohicans with three and Steve Luppino aded a couple of hits of his own.
That was more than enough offense for junior lefthander Jim Traglia, who allowed just four hits and struck out 12 in going the distance.
Mohawk had been shut out twice in losing four of their last five games.
Austin Zacek took the loss for the Indians (8-6), who had won eight of their last nine games. Robert McKerrow had two hits for West Canada, which committed six errors on the day.

ORISKANY — Oriskany scored four runs with two outs and nobody on in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally and beat the Maroon Knights in a CSC crossover game.
Frankfort (9-4) looked to be in control of game before the wheels fell off.
The Redskins (11-2) loaded the bases before a Frankfort error allowed the first two runs to score and make it an 8-7 game. Rhett Khristi then followed with a two-run single to give Oriskany the lead.
Frankfort had taken the lead with a pair of runs in the fifth then one more in the sixth.
Vinny Reina and Dan Giacovelli each had two hits for the Maroon Knights while Jamie Barr had a grand slam in Frankfort’s four-run third inning.
Mike Screca had three hits and two runs scored for Oriskany and Ryan O’Neal had two hits and three runs scored.
“We lost the game on mistakes, both mental and physical,” Frankfort coach Mark Spina said.
Andrew Talerico took the loss for the Maroon Knights while Mike Gaglianese picked up the win in relief for the Redskins.
