The Oneida Indians overcame four forfeits Tuesday and defeated Mt. Markham’s Mustangs 40-39.
The Indians recouped 12 of the points they surrendered through a pair of Mt. Markham forfeits.
Oneida won five of the eight contested bouts, including the first three.
Brendan Kooyman and Dustin Scribner had pins at 120 and 132 pounds with Skyler Thayer’s major decision in between. Colton Percival and Tyler Havener added pins at 152 and 285 pounds.
Joe Maugeri (145 pounds) and Zack Tennant (182) recorded pins for Mt. Markham and Joshua Fargo won a decision at 170 pounds.

VERONA, N.Y. — Vernon-Verona-Sherrill strung together five consecutive wins in the middle of Tuesday’s dual and the Ilion Golden Bombers unable to overcome a 23-point deficit in a 39-34 loss to the Red Devils.
Pins by Trevor Simzer (160 pounds), Eddie Bently (170), Carter Kimball (195) and Jared Flacco (220) and Lane Frost’s decision at 182 pounds put Vernon-Verona-Sherrill up 39-16 and completed the Red Devils’ scoring.
Ilion scored with a forfeit, a pin by Brandon Yager and decisions won by Andrew Coffin and Dan Sportello in the final five weights but fell short by five points.
Andrew Burch and Bryan Bennett had pins for Ilion at 126 and 145 pounds and Laken Cook won a major decision at 132 as the Golden Bombers started the meet with wins in three of the first four bouts.

MOHAWK, N.Y. —The Dolgeville Blue Devils won seven of Tuesday’s 10 contested bouts and defeated Mohawk 50-36.
The Blue Devils held a narrow 32-30 lead with four weight classes left and a Dolgeville forfeit looming in the final. Richard Lyon, Jimmy Doolittle and Kasey Foster strung together three consecutive first-period pins at 160, 170 and 182 pounds to clinch the victory for Dolgeville.
Daniel Fox (106 pounds) and Triston Engle (152) also pinned their opponents for Dolgeville, Noah Handy scored a technical fall at 99 pounds and Stephen Gross won a decision at 126.
Tim Rathbun (152 pounds), Gavin Goldsmith (132) and John Mazza (138) all recorded pins for Mohawk.

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. — The Little Falls Mounties won seven of nine contested matches Tuesday and defeated Poland 70-12 for their second win this season against the Tornadoes.
Little Falls was a 67-12 winner over the Tornadoes at Poland’s Dominick DeSiato Duals in December.
The Mounties led 24-0 on four forfeits before the first action on the mat. James Scanlon pinned Cody Krull at 113 pounds in the initial match and John Allman (126 pounds), Tyler Douglas (132), Sam Casler (145), Cole Fredericks (160) and Nick LaCourse (170) all added pins. Sean Rood scored a major decision at 152 pounds.
Albert Amacher and Michael Szarek had pins for Poland at 120 and 138 pounds, respectively.
