MOHAWK 2, HERKIMER 0

Anna Carroll made three saves for Mohawk Wednesday and the Mohicans defeated Herkimer’s Magicians 2-0 for their third straight shutout.

The Mohicans (4-5-0, 4-4-0 CSC East) led 1-0 at halftime on Madeline Gassmann’s goal midway through the first half. Alex Bandel, who assisted on the Gassmann goal, scored one of her own with with a Chloie Rood assist 10 minutes into the second half. The goals came on the only shots recorded by Mohawk which was also outcornered 10-8.

Haley Servidone made no saves for Herkimer (4-6-1, 4-3-1 CSC East).

Herkimer takes on Clinton Friday at home. Mohawk plays Friday at Mt. Markham.

MT. MARKHAM 3, ILION 0

ILION, N.Y. — Emily Dekanek scored twice for Mt. Markham Wednesday in the Mustangs’ 3-0 win over the Ilion Golden Bombers.

Megan Wool added a goal for the division-leading Mustangs (8-1-2, 6-0-2 CSC East) and Amanda Otis was credited with two saves in the shutout. Alex and Bryn Hoover each contributed an assist.

Alicia Simmons made 20 saves for Ilion (0-9-0, 0-7-0 CSC East).

Mt. Markham has a home game Friday against Mohawk. Ilion next plays Wednesday at home against Herkimer.

LITTLE FALLS 1, CLINTON 0, overtime

CLINTON, N.Y. — Sierra McCarthy’s goal in overtime broke a scoreless tie and a 1-0 win over Clinton broke a three-game losing streak for the Little Falls Mounties.

The Mounties (6-5-0, 5-3-0 CSC East) were awarded 18 corners to Clinton’s four and outshot the Warriors 5-4.

McCarthy’s game-winning goal was unassisted. Kristi Torres made three saves in the shutout.

Bailey Bach made three save for Clinton (4-5-1, 3-5-1 CSC East).

Clinton plays Friday at Herkimer. Little Falls’ next game is Tuesday at home against Mt. Markham.
