West Canada rallies for win

West Canada Valley scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to rally to an 8-7 win over Frankfort-Schuyler in a Center State Conference girls softball crossover game Thursday afternoon.
The Indians trailed by a score of 7-2 after four innings before they got back in the game with a four-run fifth. They then overtook the Maroon Knights in the seventh.
Frankfort’s chance to tie the game was thwarted in the bottom of the seventh inning as Samantha Testa was thrown out at the plate after tripling.
Desi Fauvelle made her return to the Indians after missing several games because of an ailment and picked up the win in relief of starter Rachel Dygert. She pitched scoreless ball over the final three-plus innings.
Adrienna Maxwell had a double for the Indians, who had seven hits on the day.
Lacey Barton had two hits and Katie Maneen two hits and two RBI for the Maroon Knights (2-13). Frankfort finished with six hits on the day.

LITTLE FALLS — Little Falls broke the game open in its final two at-bats to beat the Mohicans in a CSC Division I game.
Up just 3-2, the Mounties (5-3, 10-5) scored five times in the fifth then three more times in the sixth to pick up the win.
Little Falls pounded out 12 hits with Sue Schoff getting three of them with two doubles, a home run and three RBI. Courtney Terzi also homered in a two-hit day and drove in four runs.
Olivia Tooley and Sara Helmer also had two hits and Sirena Smith had a triple.
Nickie Van Meter allowed five hits with eight strikeouts to pick up the win for Little Falls.
Christy Traglia had three hits for Mohawk (3-4, 5-6) and Heather Johnson had a double.
Kelly Herlehy took the loss for the Mohicans.
