The Ilion Golden Bombers took a lead before halftime and extended it in the third quarter on the way to Saturday’s 57-49 win over Mt. Markham’s Mustangs.
The Golden Bombers (2-1) stretched their three-point halftime lead to nine by outscoring the Mustangs 21-13 in the third quarter.
Herschel Ivey scored 28 points for Ilion. Ryan Lachacz added nine.
Josh Holtham scored 12 points and Tyler Ostrander had 10 for Mt. Markham (0-3).
Ilion plays at home Tuesday against Canastota. Mt. Markham is home Thursday for a game against Hamilton.

FRANKFORT, N.Y. — Ethan Bliss scored 30 points for Cooperstown Saturday in the Redskins’ 62-54 win over the Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights.
Bliss hit five of Cooperstown’s six three-point shots and helped the Redskins build a 15-point lead through three quarters on the way to their first win on the road. Sawyer Haney added 10 points for Cooperstown.
Mark Spina scored 15 points and Mitch Shortt had 14 for Frankfort-Schuyler (0-3). Brian Fee added 10.
The Maroon Knights play at Herkimer Tuesday.
