The Ilion Golden Bombers earned their first win of the season Friday with a 3-0 sweep of the Herkimer Magicians.

The Golden Bombers won 25-22, 25-16, 25-22 on the road.

Chris Welch had seven assists, three blocks, one kill and one dig for Ilion (1-5); Elisha Carnright had one dig and one kill; and Corey Fowler had two aces, two kills and two assists.

Michael Stalteri had seven assists, two aces, one block and three digs for Herkimer (0-5); Colin Acker had four assists, three kills, one ace and four digs; Zack Rosenberger had four kills, one block and six digs; and Dakota Cotton had three aces, three kills, one block and two digs.

Ilion is home for a match Tuesday against Mt. Markham. Herkimer plays at Sauquoit Valley Tuesday.

MT. MARKHAM 3, LITTLE FALLS 0

WEST WINFIELD, N.Y. — The undefeated Mt. Markham Mustangs were 25-21, 25-16, 25-15 winners in three games Friday against the Little Falls Mounties.

Travis Beach had 15 assists, five kills, two blocks and one ace for Mt. Markham (7-0); Ben Gurtowski had six kills, four blocks, one ace and two digs; Zach Brown had six kills, three blocks and two assists; Warren Salo had eight kills; Matt Bleaking had 10 assists, two kills, one ace and one dig; and Mike Gras served three aces with two kills and four digs.

Mat Armlin had 10 kills, three blocks, one assist and one dig for Little Falls (3-2); Vinny Visconti had 10 assists; Tre Demeree had three kills and one block; Mike Izzo had two blocks and one kill; and Kyle Barnes had three assists.

Mt. Markham swept three games in junior varsity play.

Little Falls has a match at home Monday against Oneida. Mt. Markham plays at Ilion Tuesday.

SAUQUOIT VALLEY 3, CHITTENANGO 0

SAUQUOIT, N.Y. — The Sauquoit Valley Indians swept three games from Chittenango Friday, winning 25-17, 30-28, 25-15.

Jordon Montgomery had eight kills and eight blocks for Sauquoit Valley (4-1); Mike Stuhlman had seven kills, four aces, two assists and five digs; Harley Wright had 15 digs; and Steve Philpotts 13 assists.

Zach McCarthy had five kills, two blocks and three digs for Chittenango (1-5); Nick Bailey had seven assists; Brad Marskowski had three kills, one block, one assist and two digs; and John Simmons had two kills.
Chittenango was a 2-1 junior varsity winner.

Sauquoit Valley plays at home Tuesday against Herkimer.
