Ilion dominated in the field as it beat Little Falls 85-56 in a Center State Conference Division I boys track and field meet Thursday afternoon.
Led by double wins from Jose Maldonado and Frank Drapalski, the Golden Bombers (4-1) took five of the six field events.
Drapalski captured the shot put and discus and Maldonado was victorious in the long and triple jumps. The other field win came from Keegan Visser in the high jump. Ilion swept the triple jump and took the top two spots in the shot put, discus and long jump.
That more than compensated for Little Falls’ advantage on the track where the Mounties won six events with Jonathan Hebert picking up wins in the 100, 200 and 400 meters.
Patrick Squire won both the 1,600 and 3,200 meters for the Golden Bombers, who also took two of the three relays.
