Mount Markham scored in the closing seconds of the first half and held on to beat Ilion 1-0 in a Center State Conference girls soccer crossover game Tuesday night at Remington Elementary School.
Megan Peterson got the eventual game-winning goal with just 15 seconds left in the half off an assist from Marie Cole.
Richelle DiNigro, with three saves and Tori Roberts, with one save, then made Peterson’s goal stand up as they combined on the shutout for the Mustangs (4-7).
Kristen Whittaker had four saves in goal for the Golden Bombers (5-5-1).
MOHAWK 5
OLD FORGE 2
MOHAWK — Mohawk stormed back with five goals in the second half to defeat the Eskimoes in a CSC crossover game.
Old Forge (8-4) led 2-0 at halftime behind goals from Haley Josephson off a Corrine Ehrensbeck assist and Kaylin Parent.
Mohawk (9-1-1) then got on the board just under seven minutes into the second half and added three goals in an eight-minute span later in the half to take control.
Alex Kryshchuk had three goals to lead the Mohicans. Karlee Platts added two goals and two assists and Shauna Bunce had the other goal.
Adrienne Ceneviva pitched in with two assists for the Mohicans and Tracey Keeler had one.
Mohican keeper Maggie Werenczak made 10 saves.
Angela Williams had seven saves for the Eskimoes.
SAUQUOIT 3
HERKIMER 1
SAUQUOIT — Sierra Kiss scored twice to lead the Indians to a CSC crossover win over the Magicians.
Sauquoit led 1-0 at the break behind a Kiss goal. Kiss and Kristen Nicewicz then scored in the second half as the Indians beat the Magicians after the two teams tied 2-2 on Sept. 10.
Kelsey Woodrick had the only goal for the Magicians (7-4-2).
Herkimer keeper Abbie Sutliff made 11 saves.
Vanessa Jecko had 11 saves for Sauquoit (7-2-2).
COOPERSTOWN 5
FRANKFORT
COOPERSTOWN — Five different girls scored as the Redskins beat the Maroon Knights in a CSC crossover game.
Emma Ryan-Miller, Laura Rowley, Laura Harmon, Victoria Anania and Lizzie Kennison all had goals for Cooperstown (7-6) which had beaten Frankfort 3-1 on Sept. 10.
Rowley and Eryn Bass each had two assists for the winners, with goalies Katie Wilhelm and Stephanie Hascup combining to make six saves.
Katie Maneen had eight saves for Frankfort (1-7-3).
ADIRONDACK 4
WEST CANADA 1
NEWPORT — Rachel Hitt scored twice as the Wildcats avenged a loss earlier in the season by beating the Indians in a CSC crossover game.
Hitt had a goal in each half as Adirondack (5-5) led 2-0 at halftime.
She got the first goal just under five minutes into the game unassisted. Kaelana Backer then made it 2-0 with 23:46 left in the half.
Miranda Smith’s goal off a Kendell Wilbert assist early in the second half gave the Wildcats a three-goal cushion.
Alexa Dispirito scored on an assist from Melanie Whiteman before Hitt scored her second goal of the game to complete the scoring with just 1:03 left.
West Canada had defeated the Wildcats 1-0 on Sept. 10.
Rachel Dygert made 15 saves in goal for the Indians (4-5-3) while Dora Redner had six saves for the Wildcats.
POLAND 2
WESTMORELAND 1
WESTMORELAND — Krista Stubb and Lexi Schreppel had the goals as the Tornadoes beat the Bulldogs in a CSC crossover game.
Poland led 1-0 and then matched the hosts in the second half to raise their record to 5-3-1 on the season.
Morgan Irwin had an assist for the Tornadoes.
Abbie Peckham scored the only goal for Westmoreland, which got eight saves from Ciara Nolan.
DOLGEVILLE 3
RICHFIELD 1
RICHFIELD SPRINGS — Dolgeville scored early in each half as it beat Richfield Springs in a CSC crossover game.
Marissa Mowers got the Blue Devils on the board off the get-go scoring just two minutes into the game off a Krista Carmen assist.
That was all the scoring in the first half.
Carmen then made it 2-0 just 4:32 into the second half with Mowers setting up her teammate.
Richfield Springs countered with a goal from Tia VanWinkler off an Alyssa Widger assist midway through the half, before Katie Upson knocked in an insurance goal for Dolgeville with Mowers getting the assist.
Erin Patrick made seven saves and Renee Johnson two for the Blue Devils (2-7-2). Alisha Armstrong had 22 saves for Richfield Springs.
