SANDY CREEK, N.Y. —
Six Blue Devils won individual weight class championships Saturday as Dolgeville won Section III’s Class D team title at Sandy Creek High School.
The Blue Devils earned 218 1/2 points, 36 1/2 more than runner-up Sandy Creek, and finished atop a 14-team field at the tournament. Mohawk was third.
Winning title for Dolgeville were Noah Handy, Daniel Fox, Andrew Dillenbeck, Triston Engle, Kasey Foster and Richard Lyon. Other area champions were Mt. Markham’s Mackenzie Dorie and Mohawk’s John Mazza.
Elsewhere, general Brown won the Class C crown and South Jefferson topped the Class B field. Ilion’s Laken Cook won the 126-pound title in Class C as one of three Golden Bombers finalists.
