Ilion, N.Y. —
An Ilion woman was arrested recently after allegedly receiving more than $3,000 in undeserved welfare benefits, the Herkimer County Sheriff's Office said.
Katherine Wildley allegedly failed to report all of her income, resulting in her improperly receiving $3,665 in benefits, deputies said.
Wildley is charged with felony third-degree welfare fraud, felony third-degree grand larceny and felony offering a false instrument for filing, deputies said.
She was arraigned in Herkimer Village Court and released on her own recognizance.
