  • Ms. Anita Jacopelle Armaganian, 76, of Second Avenue, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in St. Peter's Hospital, with her family by her side.

  • Ms. Anita Jacopelle Armaganian, 76, of Second Avenue, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in St. Peter's Hospital, with her family by her side.
    She was born in Frankfort on July 18, 1936, the daughter of the late Michael and Laura Minosh Jacopelle, Sr., and she attended Frankfort schools, graduating from Frankfort-Schuyler High School with the class of 1955, and she later attended Le Moyne College. Anita was a teacher's aide for UCP, Utica, for many years, until her retirement in 2007. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church.
    Anita is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Nicole Armaganian, of New Hampshire; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann Marie and Roger Congdon, of New Hartford, and Melisa and John Merlino, of South Carolina; her five beloved grandchildren, Maria Armaganian, Camille Armaganian, Johnny Merlino, Christina Congdon and Casey Kelly; her aunts, Jean Jacopelle and Mary Gigliotti, both of Herkimer; and several cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Jacopelle, Jr., on Oct. 18, 2011.
    Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort, and at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo Potvin. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, April 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
