  • Edward Flansburg, 80, formerly of Middleville, died on November 24, 2012, at the Folts Home, Herkimer, where he had resided for the past three years.

  • Edward Flansburg, 80, formerly of Middleville, died on November 24, 2012, at the Folts Home, Herkimer, where he had resided for the past three years.
    Mr. Flansburg was born in Poland on May 28, 1932, a son of the late Philip and Margaret (Lamb) Flansburg. He received his education in both Poland and West Canada Valley Central Schools. He never married and served in the National Guard for many years. Edward was last employed as a taxi driver in  Herkimer.
    Survivors include one brother and two sisters-in-law, Robert and Wanda Flansburg, of TN, and Beverly Flansburg, of Cold Brook; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, William and Philip Flansburg.
    A private graveside service will be held at Prospect Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
    Arrangements are under the direction of the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport.
