  • Linda P. Nemcek, 61, of Utica, and formerly of Herkimer, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at the Abraham House in Utica.

  • Linda P. Nemcek, 61, of Utica, and formerly of Herkimer, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at the Abraham House in Utica.
    She was born on March 5, 1951, in Hinesville, Ga.; a daughter of the late Jesse and Eva (Bradley) Faulk.
    Linda was employed at one time with the Lexington Center DDSO in Salisbury, as a direct care worker.
    Linda enjoyed crocheting and making plastic canvas crafts. She loved her family and was always at her happiest when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
    She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Nemcek, of Utica; a son, Clint Nemcek, also of Utica; and her adored grandchildren, Steven Banks, Gabriella Dano, Ashleigh Dano, Brianna Nemcek, Caleb John Nemcek and Zoey Nemcek. She also leaves a brother, Jesse Faulk and his wife, Mary, of Wisconsin. Linda also leaves her very best friend, Mary Franklin, of Herkimer. She was predeceased by a brother, William Faulk.
    The family wishes to sincerely thank the Abraham House and Hospice & Palliative Care for the wonderful care complemented by true compassion that was given to Linda during her stay there.
    A Celebration of Linda's Life will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 1123 Court and York streets, in Utica, with the Rev. Jill Farnham-Us officiating. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of the services.
