    The undefeated Mt. Markham Mustangs swept three games Thursday while handing Oneida’s Indians their first loss of the season.



    The Mustangs won by scores of 25-17, 25-16 and 25-15 on their home court.

    The undefeated Mt. Markham Mustangs swept three games Thursday while handing Oneida’s Indians their first loss of the season.
    The Mustangs won by scores of 25-17, 25-16 and 25-15 on their home court.
    Warren Salo had nine kills, a block and 12 digs for Mt. Markham (3-0); Travis Beach had 12 assists, three kills and 13 digs; Mike Gras had five aces, four kills and eight digs; Ben Gurtowski had five kills, five blocks, an assist and four digs; Matt Bleaking had seven assists, three blocks, a  kill and four digs; Zach Brown had three blocks, a kill and two aces; and Cassey Jennison had five digs and an assist.
    Tyler Colvin had 19 assists, four aces and a kill for Oneida (1-1); David Kahn had eight kills, a block, two aces and an assist; Jessie Morrison had eight kills, a block and three aces; Dylan Dibble had three aces, three kills and a block; Derek Connelly had three aces, two kills, a block and four digs; Kyle George had one kill, one block, one assist and one dig; and Dan Keck had four digs and an assist.
    The junior varsity Mustangs were 2-0 winners.
    Mt. Markham takes on Westmoreland Saturday at noon.
    SAUQUOIT VALLEY 3, WESTMORELAND 0
    SAUQUOIT, N.Y. — The Sauquoit Valley Indians defeated Westmoreland 25-13, 25-15, 28-26 Thursday for their first win of the season.
    Steve Philpotts had 11 assists, two digs and an ace for Sauquoit Valley (1-1); Justin Jarecki had 11 kills, one blocks and nine digs; Corey Novak had three kills and one block; Mike Stulhman had eight kills, a block and four digs; and Harley Wright had 18 digs.
    Jake Landry had seven kills, a block, seven assists and two digs for Westmoreland (0-2); James Marchesani had eight assists and a dig; Andrew Murphy had 11 digs and a kill; and Jeremy Pained had five kills, two blocks and an assist.
    Westmoreland was a 2-1 junior varsity winner.
