    The Oriskany Redskins broke away from a halftime tie Tuesday and defeated West Canada Valley 47-38 to end the Indians’ five-game winning streak.
    West Canada Valley’s last loss had been against the unbeaten Redskins Dec. 21 in Oriskany.
    Jordan Sahl scored 14 points and Christina Graziadei had 12 for the Redskins (11-0) who outscored West Canada Valley (8-4) 13-6 in the third quarter to take the lead. Shannon VanShufflin added 10 points.
    Carissa Tasovac led West Canada Valley with 15 points. Alexis Fauvelle added 11 points and moved within 22 of 1,000 for her varsity career.
    The Indians play Thursday at Little Falls.

    COOPERSTOWN 56, MOHAWK 35
    COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. — The Cooperstown Redskins outscored Mohawk 17-0 in the first quarter Tuesday and defeated the Mohicans 56-35.
    Sumer Murdock scored 14 points and Liz Millea had 10 for the Redskins (9-2) who are ranked 19th in the state in Class C.
    Lindsey LeClair scored  15 points to lead the Mohicans (1-12).
    Mohawk takes on Dolgeville at home Friday as the first half of a varsity doubleheader. The Mohawk and Dolgeville boys meet in the second game.

    RICHFIELD SPRINGS, N.Y. — Milford’s Addy Lawson scored 16 points Tuesday in the Wildcats’ 39-35 win over the Richfield Springs Indians.
    The Indians (1-8, 0-7 TVL) cut Milford’s lead to two points in the fourth quarter but were unable to take a lead at home.
    Marina Steele scored 12 points for Milford (6-3, 4-2 TVL) which led 26-21 at the start of the final period.
    Ashley Fuller had 12 points and eight rebounds for Richfield Springs while Kaity Richvalsky had 11 points and eight assists.
    The Indians play Friday at Cherry Valley-Springfield.

    WEST WINFIELD, N.Y. — The Sherburne-Earlville Marauders led 40-11 at halftime Tuesday and defeated Mt. Markham’s Mustangs 64-27 on the road.
    Savannah Irwin scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures for the Marauders (9-3). Jordan VanAlthuis had 12 points while Mikayla Solloway and Mattie Dowdall each scored 11.
    Angela Bartlett had a game-high 17 points to lead Mt. Markham (2-8).
    The Mustangs are home Friday for a game against Morrisville-Eaton.

    SAUQUOIT, N.Y. — Alyson Gaffney and Morgan Talma recorded double-doubles for Sauquoit Valley Tuesday in the Indians’ 61-15 victory over the Otselic Valley Vikings.
    Talma scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Gaffney had 12 and 11 with six steals. Danielle Ricci added 10 points for the Indians (2-10) who had lost 10 games in a row after starting the season with a win at Otselic Valley.
    LeeAnne Haitian scored six points for the Vikings (0-8).
