    The Mohawk Mohicans scored late in the first half at Veterans Memorial Park Monday and held Little Falls off at the end of the game for a 1-0 win over the Mounties.

    The Mohawk Mohicans scored late in the first half at Veterans Memorial Park Monday and held Little Falls off at the end of the game for a 1-0 win over the Mounties.
    Cecilia Guido scored for Mohawk (3-5-0, 3-4-0 CSC East) with an assist from Madeline Gassmann 2:43 before halftime. The goal came on one of the Mohicans’ two shots at the Little Falls goal.
    Little Falls (5-5-0, 4-3-0 CSC East) called its final timeout after being awarded its 10th penalty corner with 1:22 left in the game. The Mounties came out of the timeout and sent a shot from the top of the circle just wide of the left side of the cage. Time ran out on Little Falls as Leah Tooley crossed the line into the circle and passed a defender on a run at the goal.
    Anna Carroll made six saves in the shutout for the Mohicans.
    Kristi Torres had one save for Little Falls.
    The Mohicans take on Herkimer at home Wednesday while Little Falls travels to Clinton to play its next game.
    MT. MARKHAM 2, HERKIMER 2, tie
    WEST WINFIELD, N.Y. — The Herkimer Magicians trailed Mt. Markham by a goal at halftime but scored in the second half and played the Center State Conference East Division-leading Mustangs to a 2-2 overtime tie Monday.
    Krista Green and Bri Parks scored goals for Herkimer (4-5-1, 4-2-1 CSC East) and Carol Price contributed an assist. Goalie Haley Servidone made nine saves.
    Emily Dekanek and Alexis Bryce had Mt. Markham’s goals in the first half and Lizzie Jones added an assist for the Mustangs (7-1-2, 5-0-2 CSC East). Amanda Otis was credited with six saves.
    Both teams play on the road Wednesday, Mt. Markham at Ilion and Herkimer at Mohawk.
    NEW YORK MILLS 1, SAUQUOIT VALLEY 1, tie
    SAUQUOIT, N.Y. — The New York Mills Marauders and Sauquoit Valley Indians played to a 1-1 tie in overtime Monday.
    Maria Orsino scored with an assist from Alyssa Orsino for the Indians (3-6-1, 2-4-1 CSC West). Erika Parker made six saves.
    Carly Dziekan scored for New York Mills (5-3-2, 3-2-2 CSC West) with an assist from Kaylie DiNitto. Amanda Maciol made three saves.
    Sauquoit Valley plays at Hamilton Wednesday.
