Explain what you enjoy most about your sport and athletics.
I enjoy many different sports because they give me something to do outside of school. I love the competition that baseball and other sports provide. Without sports, my life would just be boring.
What is your most memorable athletic moment?
My most memorable athletic moment is when I went to Cooperstown and played baseball with the CNY Pioneers teams when I was 11 and 12 years old.
Tell us about someone who inspires you in sports and why
Nearly all of my coaches have inspired me to work hard and do well in sports, especially my dad. I play soccer, basketball and baseball and my dad taught me how to play each one. He was my coach in every sport for what seems like forever. He was my coach since when I first started playing sports, until I started junior high. Although he stopped coaching me during my junior high years, he never stopped teaching me. Whether it was in my side yard or in my driveway, he never stopped talking and teaching. I know he wants me to be the best I can be and it inspires me to keep learning and progressing in everything.
What are your greatest challenges balancing academics and sports?
My greatest challenge balancing academics and sports is finding time to get all of my homework and studying done. I don’t mind managing the athletics part but the academics part is not something I enjoy much. But, even though I sometimes hate school work, I know it has to be done to participate in athletics.
What are your plans after graduating from high school?
I plan to attend SUNY IT in the fall and try out for the baseball team there. Right now I am undecided on a major.
