Explain what you enjoy most about your sport and athletics.
My sport — baseball — really helps me in school because it keeps me striving for more in and out of school. My sport is not just something to do, it’s my passion and its pitching, I do everything to make myself better and (to be) the best at what I do. One last thing that makes it fun is working hard with people that all have one goal — to win a championship, and all have fun while we are doing it.
What is your most memorable athletic moment?
My most memorable athletic moment was getting my first no-hitter, and also getting my first varsity patch winning sectionals.
Tell us about someone who inspires you in sports and why.
My grandma Polly was the one who always strived for me to be better and said to me if you always work hard your dream will come true. Another is also my parents, Robin and Todd Failing, who are always helping me and making me strive for what I want, no matter how hard or what the task, I keep working hard for my dreams.
What are your greatest challenges balancing academics and sports?
My greatest challenges are usually studying for tests because our game might go late and then I will be up late to study.
What are your plans after graduating from high school?
I plan to go to college and play college baseball. I plan to pitch in college and keep working harder and getting good grades on my studies at the same time.
