Explain what you enjoy most about your sport and athletics.
The thing that I enjoy most about bowling is that it is truly a team sport. If someone throws a bad game it can greatly affect the ultimate score of the team, however, if everyone is bowling good then bowling can become a very competitive and exciting sport to participate in. Bowling is also a sport that I can continue to do and challenge myself with, far after graduating from high school.
What is your most memorable athletic moment?
My most memorable athletic moment was scoring my first touchdown, despite being a lineman, in my last high school football game.
Tell us about someone who inspires you in sports and why.
Growing up I was greatly inspired by Jim Abbot, a major league pitcher who played despite being born without a right hand. His success and hard work helped me to build a more solid work ethic and taught me that with hard work and discipline, anything is possible.
What are your greatest challenges balancing academics and sports?
For me, the greatest challenge in balancing academics and sports is time. With the amount of homework and studying that I complete daily, and my responsibilities to not only sports teams but also to volunteer programs such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, I often find myself up until midnight completing my work. For me, academics always come first.
What are your plans after graduating from high school?
After high school, I plan on attending RPI or Clarkson University in search of a degree in mechanical engineering.
