Explain what you enjoy most about your sport and athletics.
I love the competitive nature of playing sports. Since I was very young I’ve been an extremely competitive person and I always wanted to win no matter what I was doing. I also like the camaraderie of playing on a team.
What is your most memorable athletic moment?
From a team standpoint, it would definitely be when we played Little Falls in sectionals for basketball this last February. I have never seen so many people at a high school sporting event around here.
Individually, I would say getting an RBI single in (baseball) sectionals my freshman year.
Tell us about someone who inspires you in sports and why.
My dad was (and still is) the won who gave me tips and tried to make me a better athlete. From Day 1 he made sure I had a ball in my hand and it influenced me greatly.
What are your greatest challenges balancing academics and sports?
The main thing is finding enough time to effectively do homework and grasp concepts. I have had to become willing to do assignments on buses going to games and I’ve also had to use study halls wisely.
What are your plans after graduating from high school?
I plan to attend college and major in either biology or exercise science. I hop to eventually become a physical therapist. I also want to play basketball at the next level.
