In three sentences, explain what you enjoy most about your sport and athletics.
My favorite part about athletics would be the sense of urgency that you wouldn’t feel anywhere else. The best part of playing field hockey, softball or basketball is gaining a lead on your opponent and playing your hardest to beat them.
What is your most memorable athletic moment?
My most memorable athletic moment would be winning our softball game against Adirondack my senior year. In the bottom of the seventh I was batted in to score the winning run. It was a huge game for us, and we all worked together to pull out a 5-4 victory.
Tell us about someone who inspires you in sports and why
My parents inspire me the most in athletics. My parents have taught me how to work hard while keeping a good attitude. They have been to all my games for as long as I can remember, and they are my number one fans.
What are your greatest challenges balancing academics and sports?
My greatest challenge would be realizing that I am a student first and an athlete second. It is very hard for me to sit in school and not think about the big game or practice ahead of me.
What are your plans after graduating from high school?
After high school I will be attending McDaniel College, majoring in Exercise Science. I will also be playing on the field hockey team.
