  • Michaela “Mich” M. Wright-Fresco, age 41, of Second Street, Ilion, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare, New Hartford.

  • Michaela “Mich” M. Wright-Fresco, age 41, of Second Street, Ilion, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare, New Hartford.
    She was born on Aug. 8, 1971, in Wiesbaden, Germany, the daughter of John and Heidi (Findling) Wright. She graduated from Northern Burlington High School in New Jersey, and attended East Stroudsberg Community College in Pennsylvania. On Oct. 4, 2003, she was married to Francis Fresco, at Saints Anthony and Joseph Church, Herkimer. Mich was employed as a support associate at Planned Parenthood, Mohawk/Hudson, Utica, for 20 years. At one time, she was employed as a secretary at C. J. Applegate & Sons Funeral Home, Ilion. Mich loved animals, especially her pets, Trixie, Layla, Rony and Shadow. She enjoyed shopping and lunches with her mom and Wednesday night dinners with her dad.
    Survivors includes her husband, Fran; her parents, John and Heidi Wright, of Ilion; her sister and brother-in-law, Andrea and Bill Rupp, of Montgomery, Ala.; her aunt, Ulrike Findling, of Germany; her aunt and uncle, Dennis and Christine Jones, of Ilion; her cousins, Eric Jones and his wife, Maura Harrington, of Stuyvescent Falls, Heather Gay, of Ilion, and Adam Jones and his wife, Dawn, of Schenectady; and several great-aunts and great-uncles.
    She was predeceased by her grandparents, Bernice and Richard Wright, and Hanni and Willi Findling.
    Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, with Deacon James Bower, of the Church of the Annunciation, officiating. Interment will be in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion.
    Calling hours are Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, from 1 to 3 p.m., prior to the funeral home service.
    The family wishes to thank the Ilion ambulance crew and the emergency room staff at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare for their dedication and support.

    In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Herkimer County Humane Society, or the Ilion Ambulance Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
    The Wright family has entrusted all funeral arrangements and supervision to their family friend and funeral director, Don Applegate, at Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, Ilion.
