  • HERKIMER — Herkimer village police arrested a resident on Dec. 30.
    Joseph T. Mashtare, 28, of Pleasant Avenue, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child at 4:26 a.m. He was arraigned and sent to the Herkimer County jail in lieu of $500 cash and $2,500 bail bond.

    HERKIMER — Herkimer village police arrested a Utica man on drunk driving charges on Dec. 29.
    Shorron Harrison, 38, of Genesee Street, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Mohawk Street at 9:48 p.m. He was released on tickets and is due back in court on Jan. 12.

    HERKIMER — Herkimer village police arrested a Pennsylvania man on Dec. 28.
    Cody Short, 20, of Castle Rock Acres, Castle Rock, Pa., was charged with trespassing after a Perry Street resident called to report that Short was sleeping in the back seat of his car at 5:52 a.m. Police said Short was highly intoxicated.
    Short was ticketed and then turned over to the Fort Plain Police Department on a bench warrant.

    HERKIMER — Herkimer village police arrested a Herkimer resident on Dec. 25
    Raymond Shepard, 34, of North Main Street, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt at 12:03 a.m. Shepard was held for arraignment. No further details were available.

    HERKIMER — Herkimer village police arrested a Newport woman on Dec. 23.
    Ashley Davis, 21, of Honey Hill Road, was charged with second-degree obstruction governmental administration, false impersonation and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 1:58 a.m. on North Prospect Street. Davis was released on appearance tickets.

    HERKIMER — Herkimer village police arrested three men after a fight on Dec. 22.
    Hank Frappier, 40, of Hardscrabble Road, Fairfield, Steven Frye, 20, of John Street, Little Falls, and Matthew Gay, 19, of Barker Road, Dolgeville, were all charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Police made the arrests after receiving a tip about a possible fight that was breaking out on Protection Avenue.
    All three were sent to the Herkimer County jail; Frappier in lieu of $1,000 cash bail and $3,500 bail bond, and Frye and Gay in lieu of $500 cash bail and $1,000 bail bond.
