The Herkimer Elks Classic Car and Motorcycle Show is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 2, from noon to 4 p.m., rain or shine, at Weller Park in Mohawk.
The Herkimer Elks Classic Car and Motorcycle Show is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 2, from noon to 4 p.m., rain or shine, at Weller Park in Mohawk. Proceeds will benefit Cerebral Palsy. Gates open at 9 a.m. and the judging starts at 1 p.m.
First and second place trophies will be awarded in 22 classes, ranging from before 1939 to 1981 and up, including best engine, best paint, and best of show. The cost for registration is $9, and the first 50 entrants receive dash plaques.
There will be a DJ, 50/50 Raffle, and barbecue available at the show. Also, there will be free child-safety fingerprinting, and children’s vehicle safety seat inspections and information will be offered.
Competition categories include: 1980s two- and four-wheel-drive trucks, factory muscle up to 1972, conservative street (more than three changes), pro street, street rods, motorcycles, antique fire apparatus, sports compact, special interest, corvette up to 1980, foreign, modified trucks, cars and trucks 1981 and up, and sports cars (two seats) 1981 and up.
