    The Mt. Markham Mustangs and Mohawk Mohicans played almost 50 minutes of scoreless field hockey Monday before Courtney Bastian scored and gave the visiting Mustangs their only goal in a 1-0 victory.
    Reich scored with 11:21 left in the second half.
    Kristin McKane assisted on the goal for the Mustangs who took nine shots while holding their opponents to one. Hannah Douglas made a save on the only shot she faced and earned the shutout in goal for Mt. Markham.
    Christina Carroll recorded eight saves for Mohawk (1-5-0).
    Mohawk travels to Ilion for its next game Wednesday. Mt. Markham plays at home Wednesday against Little Falls.
    LITTLE FALLS 4, COOPERSTOWN 0
    COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. — Jordan Buckbee had two goals and an assist for Little Falls Monday in the Mounties’ 4-0 shutout victory over the Cooperstown Redskins.
    The Mounties led 2-0 at halftime and got five saves from Rachel Demeree in the shutout.
    Jenna Becker and Emily Lorenzoni each scored a goal for Little Falls. Miranda Salamone contributed an assist.
    The Mounties held a 9-5 edge in shots and were awarded six corners to none for Cooperstown.
    Rachael Fort made five saves for the Redskins (1-4-0, 1-3-0 CSC East) who host Herkimer Wednesday.
    Little Falls plays on the road again Wednesday at Mt. Markham.
    COOPERSTOWN 1, MOHAWK 0
    MOHAWK, N.Y. — Natalie Reich scored off a corner just over eight minutes into the second half Saturday and the Cooperstown Redskins defeated Mohawk 1-0 for their first win of the season.
    Ann Cannon assisted on the Reich goal.
    Rachel Fort earned the shutout with two saves for the Redskins. Christina Carroll had seven saves for the Mohicans who were outshot 8-2.
    NEW YORK MILLS 2, ILION 1
    ILION, N.Y. — New York Mills scored twice in a first half Saturday and the Marauders defeated Ilion 2-1.
    Kayla Brittel scored with an assist from Erica Pendrack early in the first half, giving the Marauders the lead. Becki Vivacqua added a goal with 3:05 remaining to give New York Mills a 2-0 lead at halftime.
    “We broke down (in the) first half,” Ilion coach Kelly Rowland said. “Saturday morning games are always tough ... we showed up second half.”
    Ilion rallied in the second half when Abby Coffin scored with assists from Marissa Maldonado and Jessica Boulia on a corner, but the Golden Bombers would not score again, giving New York Mills the victory.
    Marauders goalkeeper Victoria Swider had three saves, while Alicia Simmons worked the goal for Ilion with one save.
    Ilion drops to 4-2-0 while New York Mills improves to 4-1-0. Both teams are unbeaten in their divisions of the Center State Conference, Ilion in the East and New York Mills in the West.
