  • In the news: "Saturday Night Live," long known for its spot-on political comedy, performed several skits on Saturday about last week's debate between President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. The show lampooned Obama and what was seen as his lackluster debate performance in its opening sketch, having the president nearly pass out because of the altitude in Denver. Also featured on the show was Big Bird, who made the news because of Romney's comment that he would end government contributions to PBS.
