  • Little Falls stayed unbeaten on the season as it beat Mohawk 22-1 in a Central New York Fastpitch Softball League game Monday night at the David P. Whalen Community Park.

  • Little Falls stayed unbeaten on the season as it beat Mohawk 22-1 in a Central New York Fastpitch Softball League game Monday night at the David P. Whalen Community Park.
    Little Falls (4-0-1) spotted Mohawk an early 1-0 lead then took total control.
    Last night’s games were seven-inning affairs. Each team normally plays two five-inning games.
    In the other early game last night, Herkimer (3-2) moved over the .500 mark with a 5-3 win over Fort Plain.
    In the later games, Ilion and Notre Dame, both 4-1, stayed right behind Little Falls with wins.
    Ilion beat St. Johnsville (1-4) 12-7 while Notre Dame handed Dolgeville (3-1-1) its first loss with an 8-1 victory.
    Action continues next Monday night with five-inning doubleheaders.
