  • Thomas H. Brown, Jr., 75, of Clinton Street, died Thursday morning, September 27, 2012, in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, shortly after his admission, surrounded by his loving family.
    Born in Ilion, on November 16, 1936, he was the son of Thomas H. and Dorothy Nestle Brown, Sr. A resident of New York Mills for the past twenty years, Tom was a graduate of Ilion High School. He served with the United States Army from 1958 to 1962.
    Prior to his retirement, Mr. Brown was employed with the PAR Technology Corporation, and previously with Univac Corporation. He was very involved in volunteer activities with the Utica Zoo.
    Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Lance Rose, of Rochester; his two sons, Terrance J. Brown, of San Diego, California, and Christopher T. Brown, of Oneida Castle; his former wife and her husband, Jackie Brown Lottermoser and Edward, of Oneida Castle; two grandchildren, Danyella and Raven Brown; one daughter-in-law, Kelly Aylesworth Brown, of Oneida; and  nieces and nephews, Keith and Barbara Dye, and Sharon and Jon Pedersen, of Ilion, Ken and Colleen Dye, of Cortland, and Mitch and Carrie Dye, of Frankfort. He was predeceased by his sister, Doris Dye.
    Funeral services will be held Thursday at 6 PM from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, with Reverend Delores Cottet officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 4-6 PM, Thursday.
    The family requests contributions, as an expression of sympathy, be made to the Utica Zoo, 99 Steele Hill Road, Utica, NY 13501. Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
