Explain what you enjoy most about your sport and athletics.
There are so many different aspects to the game of basketball. Good players are very successful in one or two areas of the game, but great players are able to dominate in every phase of the game. I enjoy working to eventually become a great all-around team player.
What is your most memorable athletic moment?
Winning the first sectional title in 44 years at HCCC and playing in the Syracuse Carrier Dome.
Tell us about someone who inspires you in sports and why.
Lebron James inspires me with the way he plays the game. While he can be such a dominant force by simply scoring as often as possible, he chooses to constantly keep his teammates involved and makes big plays for them as well. Ever since I was young, I've tried to model my game after his.
What are your greatest challenges balancing academics and sports?
School and sports — you can't have one without the other if you are looking to be a college athlete. School always should come first, because no matter how important you might think your prospective sport is, eventually you will have to get a real job.
What are your plans after graduating from high school?
I plan on attending college and studying to become an English teacher, while continuing my basketball career.
