  • Two Herkimer County men are accused of stealing money from what was supposed to be a charitable gaming operation at a local club, state police said.
Ronald Uhlig, 55, of Herkimer, and Paul Sadlon, 67, of Little Falls, allegedly took money for personal gain from the gaming account held by the Polish Community Club of Little Falls in 2007, 2008 and 2009, police said.
Both men are charged with felony third-degree grand larceny. They were arraigned in Little Falls City Court and released on their own recognizance, police said. They will return to court at a later date.
The arrests followed a joint investigation by the state police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Herkimer, the state Gaming Commission's Charitable Gaming Enforcement Unit and the Little Falls Police Department.
