    According to Herkimer Police, while they are used to making numerous arrests, the sheer volume over the past weekend has stretched department resources thin.

    According to Herkimer Police, while they are used to making numerous arrests, the sheer volume over the past weekend has stretched department resources thin.
    •On Friday, Aug. 24, at noon police responded to a fight call on North Main Street and arrested Brian K Franklin, 36, of Herkimer. He was charged with third-degree assault for punching another male in the face causing a bone fracture and laceration requiring stitches. He was released on an appearance ticket to return on Sept. 11. Further charges are possible pending the investigation.
    •Carlton Jefferson-Harvey, 33, of Herkimer, was arrested on Aug. 24, at 5:45 p.m. He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after a home visit was completed by a Herkimer County Probation Officer. Harvey was released on an appearance ticket to return on Sept. 11.
    •David E. Guyer, 30, of Newport, was arrested on Aug. 24, at 8:15 p.m. He was arrested on a warrant for petit larceny he was arraigned in Herkimer Court and sent to Herkimer Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail and $3,000 bond.
    •Brian S. Griffin, 19, of Tannersville; Rebecca E. Warner, 19, of Catskill; and Steven N. Foster, 20, Port Leyden, have all been charged with possession of alcohol under the age of 21. They were found in Brookwood Park on Aug. 24, at 11:13 p.m. consuming alcohol. All were issued appearance tickets to Herkimer Court on Sept. 11.
    •Jeremy L. Palmer, 19, of Frankfort; Carly C. Castellano, 20, of Frankfort; and Jeremy M. Dickinson, 20, of Frankfort, were all arrested on Aug. 25, at 3:36 am. Herkimer Police received a call reporting people consuming alcohol in a car parked in the Denny’s parking lot. Upon arrival they located the three people mentioned. All were charged with unlawful possession of alcohol under the age of 21. Dickinson was further charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. All were issued appearance tickets to Herkimer Court on Sept. 4.
    •Jordan D. Lints, 21, of Frankfort, was arrested on Aug. 25, at 4:11 a.m., in a parking lot on West State Street. Police responded to a large disturbance call and Lints was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct. He was released on an appearance ticket to return to Herkimer Court on Sept. 11.
    •Michael P. Arsenault, 28, of Mayfield, was arrested on Aug. 25, at 5:22 a.m. Police responded to a 911 call of a burglary in progress at a home on West German Street. The female homeowner reported a strange male broke into her residence and is still inside. Upon arrival police located Arsenault asleep on the floor in the residence using a dish towel for a blanket. He was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal trespass. He was arraigned in Herkimer Court and sent to jail in lieu of $2,500 cash and $5,000 bond.
    •Michael C. Brazeau, 35, of Rochester, was arrested on Aug. 25, at 1 a.m. Police responded to the 100 block of West Albany Street for a male passed out. Upon arrival police located Brazeau. It was learned that Brazeau had a violent offender parole absconder warrant from Manhattan’s parole office. Brazeau was taken to Herkimer County Jail on this warrant and will be turned over to New York State parole officers Monday.
    Page 2 of 2 - •Ronda R. Gaines, 43, of Ilion, was arrested on Aug. 25 at 11:04 p.m. Police responded to a fight call at Eastern Gardens and encountered Gaines in the parking lot of Building A. Police attempted to place Gaines under arrest when she resisted and kicked officers. She has been charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and harassment. She was arraigned in Herkimer Court and sent to Herkimer Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail and $2,500 bond. While in court with her son it was learned that her son had an outstanding warrant. Lamar Gaines, 23, also of Ilion, was arrested. He was arraigned as well and released on his own recognizance. Mother and son are both scheduled to return to court on Sept. 12.
    •Quasawn Williams, 19, and Roxanne Haynes, 18, both of Brooklyn, were arrested on Aug. 26, at 1:30 a.m. Police received a report from three local businesses of persons passing fake 20 dollar bills. Williams and Haynes were located at Burger King and arrested. Williams was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the first degree, a class C felony. Haynes was charged with one count of the same charge. They were arraigned in Herkimer Court and sent to Herkimer Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash and $30,000 bond to return to court on Aug. 29. More charges are pending further investigation.
    •Nathan Guyer, 29, of Herkimer, was arrested on Aug. 26 at 1:56 a.m. Guyer was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was released on an appearance ticket to return to Herkimer Court on Sept. 5.
