  • James F. (Jim) Netti, 60, of Dewey Avenue, Herkimer, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at his home.

  • James F. (Jim) Netti, 60, of Dewey Avenue, Herkimer, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at his home.
    He was born Nov. 3, 1952, in Herkimer, the son of Effie (Gardner) and the late Joseph Netti. Jim was a graduate of Herkimer High School, class of 1971.
    His marriage to Mary Buccafurno took place on Jan. 25, 1986, in Herkimer.
    Jim was last employed at the Family Dollar Distribution Center in Rome. At one time, he worked at the former Library Bureau in Herkimer.
    With family as his foremost priority, Jim proved himself a loving and caring son, husband and father. He had a special place in his heart for his cherished grandchildren. An avid outdoorsman, Jim loved hunting and fishing.
    Survivors include his mother, Effie, of Herkimer; his wife of 27 years, Mary; two daughters, Lisa Ebensperger and husband, Dana, of Newport, and Christine Ade and fiancee, Scott Sequin, of Deerfield; two brothers, Michael Netti and wife, Barbara (Bobbi), of Herkimer, and Mark Netti and wife, Tammi, of Herkimer; three sisters, Linda Fullmer and husband, Edward, of Florida, Sandra Rice and husband, Bert, of Little Falls, and Debbie Sweeney and husband, Phil, of Frankfort; four grandchildren, Derek, Nathyn, Michaella and Landrey; a special God-daughter, Philippa Rathod, of Millville, N.J.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
    He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Netti.
    Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 South Washington St., Herkimer, NY. The family will be receiving friends and relatives on Saturday, March 2, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the services.
    Arrangements have been entrusted to the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer, 866-1500.
